Current Volunteer Opportunities

We need you

Volunteers do not necessarily have the time; they just have the heart.  ~Unknown

PTSA positions open and awaiting your creative insight and commitment to keeping our school community thriving!
We have volunteer positions still open. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact Danielle Lynch at volunteer@kelloggptsa.org

Cultural Ambassadors
Cultural Ambassadors are parents who can help with translating PTSA written and sometimes verbal communication at their comfort level and according to their time commitment. We have a beautifully diverse school and we are hoping to try to remove the communication barrier for some of our families as often as possible.

Diversity and Inclusion Chair(s)
A Diversity & Inclusion Chair will guide diversity and inclusion efforts by diversifying all aspects of membership and leadership throughout PTSA through multicultural outreach, initiatives, activities and events. This person would work closely with the Family Engagement Co-chairs to reach members such as military families, African Americans, Asian/Pacific Islanders, Hispanic/Latino families, American Indian/Alaska Natives, and other ethnic groups as well as LGBTQ children and families, children with special needs and their families and immigrant, refugee, and homeless families. They will also partner with Race & Equity Leads and student affiliate groups at school.

Newsletter Editor
The newsletter editor will create a newsletter from a template created in Memberplanet. Memberplantet is the database we use for all of our PTSA members. This newsletter will be sent to our 2020-2021 PTSA membership and also placed on our PTSA website. Information/content for the newsletter will be provided by the President and other board and committee chairs based on what programs are currently in progress and those that are coming up.

The Kellogg PTSA fundraises for the year that follows, therefore 2021-2022. We are not able to have our normal fundraising in-person events so we need your help. Please support this AND next year's PTSA community programs, events and student enrichment by donating today. No contribution is too small! Let's work together to make our children's middle school years as great as it can be!
For Fundraising questions please contact Chris Nelson at fundraising@kelloggptsa.org
