From the Black Voices webpage: “Join us as we celebrate Black Excellence with a viewing of Black Panther & a panel conversation about Afrofuturism with Seattle playwright Donte Felder & cosplay artist Emilee Shield.

Black Panther is a revolutionary story about the futuristic nation of Wakanda, Prince T’Challa and the power of telling one’s own story. There is much to unpack in this narrative of technology, Blackness and identity, as well as the film’s impact on the world. As we kick off a month of spotlighting the richness Blackness brings to our communities and the Black Lives Matter at Schools week, join our celebration of Wakanda Forever!

This event will be held on Monday, February 1st, 6:00 P.M. Participants will receive a Zoom link to a panel webinar and an access code to a complimentary viewing of Black Panther.
