June 4: LAST PTSA Mtg of the Year
Please carve out time on Tuesday June 4th to help us celebrate all our PTSA volunteers who have helped make each event a success. This is also a meet and greet for next year’s PTSA officers and chairs.
This meeting is also very important as we need members to finalize a few critical votes: 1) our new executive officers for next school year 2) our budget for next school year 3) our end-of-year audit committee.
Light snacks and non-alcoholic beverages served
We’ll head to Drumlin on 165th after the meeting, all are
welcome.
June 12: Lost & Found Donated
This is one week before school ends, so please find time to swing by the school before June 12th to claim
your students lost items.
Kellogg’s Lost & Found is located in the cabinets outside the school office. Students can access these
throughout the day. Please call the school or email the PTSA if you need help finding an item.
Any item with a student’s name is taken to the office for the student to claim. Jewelry and electronics are
also taken to the office. Unclaimed items without names are donated and there is no way for us to reclaim, so please please please check lost and found by June 12th.
Most lost items: coats, water bottles, lunch boxes, PE clothes. Make sure your students name is on these
items.

“MR. SWEENEY CARES A LOT ABOUT HIS STUDENTS. HE REALLY WANTS THEM TO DEEPLY UNDERSTAND THE SUBJECT. AND INSTEAD OF JUST SHOWING THEM EVERYTHING THEY NEED TO KNOW, HE HELPS THEM DISCOVER IT FOR THEMSELVES.NOT ONLY DOES HE UNDERSTAND WHERE EACH KID IS AT IN TERMS OF ACADEMIC LEVEL AS WELL AS SOCIAL EMOTIONAL CHALLENGES, HE GOES ABOVE AND BEYOND DURING EVERY INTERACTION HE HAS WITH ALL STUDENTS.”

ALEC WILMART
“MR WILMART GIVES HIS BAND STUDENTS BOTH GUIDANCE AND INSTRUCTION ALONG WITH SPACE AND PERMISSION TO TRY NEW THINGS. FROM MORNING JAZZ BAND, EVENING CONCERTS, BAND FESTIVALS, EXTRA PRACTICES AND FUN KAHOOT SESSIONS, IT IS OBVIOUS THAT MR. WILMART IS KIND BUT ALSO FIRM, DEDICATED, AND INSPIRING. MIDDLE SCHOOL IS NOT OFTEN A TIME WHEN KIDS FEEL EMPOWERED BUT IT SEEMS MANY STUDENTS IN MR WILMART’S BAND CLASSES FEEL LIKE THEY CAN HELP SHAPE THEIR OWN MUSICAL PATHS.”
